For my moodboard the genre of the music I am doing is indie-rock and also alternative. The target audience for the magazine will be very fashion concious and will wear vintage and indie clothes. The female audience may even be inspired by vintage icons such as Audrey Hepburn and Marylin Monroe etc. Some of the possible stores and brands are, Topshop, converse, rayban, vintage and charity shops and places where they sell indie associated clothing. Gok Wan is passionate about fashion and links to this because he mixes and matches with clothes even with some vintage pieces and he can also represent those who are not straight. For the hobbies, my target audience will enjoy arts and photography and will perhaps take up a career in this area and jobs mainly in the media. The music they will listen to is partly a sub-culture however it is getting more popular, the indie-rock genre will include artists such as kings of leon, mumford&sons etc. and also some will even listen to records but this mainly is for the older people in my target audience. They will be a massive fan of festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading and V Festival. The radio stations they will mainly listen to is radio1 and xfm. They could also take an interest in acoustic guitar or actually play it themselves. The target audience may also like art and photography but this is probably more relevant for the female audience.
The target audience will probably have an old fashioned car such as a mini, beetle, or an american muscle car.
They may live in the country in a large house or a cottage or if they're job is based in the city they may have a house there, such as the people who have a job in the media etc.
Also they will go to a coffee shop such as Starbucks and Costa.
Demographic The average age for my magazine is 22 and it's targeted gender is probably around the same for both. Which means that the lifestyle subset is most likely to be yuppies.
The class for my magazine will be ABC1 (The A class will be appropriate if your a manager or professional in the media and keen on this genre of music). Pyschographic is mainly suceeders although some could be aspirers- buying the magazine to achieve this lifestyle.
